EMDR Therapy for Women
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. This type of therapy isn’t focused on talking about a traumatic experience over & over again, but rather uses a model based on the application of bilateral stimulation (typically side-to-side eye movements) to help support the body through reprocessing “stuck” information. This evidence-based approach encourages & promotes healing from within the mind, body, & nervous system.
Healing isn’t being your “best self” as many may believe, but rather being your most loved, compassionate, & safe-feeling self. EMDR Therapy can help you heal from the inside, out.

2. Initial Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
Your first appointment will be a clinical diagnostic assessment. During this session, I’ll ask you questions to get to know you better, learn more about what you’re struggling with, and gain a better sense of what is needed to help you reach your goals. If desired, we can further explore any diagnoses if clinically indicated. A mental health diagnosis is not required for us to work together.
3. Personalized Care & Support
Therapy sessions are usually scheduled on a weekly or every other week basis depending on your needs & goals for therapy. Every aspect of your care will be personalized to meet your needs. During your consultation call, we can talk more about what that might look like!
